My hard drive got wiped out and now my phone has way more information on it (calendars, music, pictures etc.) I'm afraid that if I sync them together it will wipe out the stuff on the phone, rather than transfer it to my computer. Is that stupid?

I also can't get music that I bought online (not iTunes)... it's on my phone but I can't drag and drop it into my iTunes music on my computer. And I'm worried about loosing all my info if I sync - contacts and pictures especially. Please help ASAP!

iPhone and iPod devices depend on data being on the computer to sync with. Unless you have a Mac Me account that stores your data remotely that you can grab your computer will wipe your phone's data, though you can restore locally as the computer saves your phone data upon sync.

Make sure to check your iTunes sync preferences before reconnecting your device, make sure it's set to Manually update your devices.
