Syncing Address Book with Google

In order share contacts through MobileMe, I have synced my iMac Address Book with Google ... with seemingly no effect whatsoever!

My iPhone, iMac Address Book and MobileMe are all synced and thus agree, but they are not showing anything extra from Google Mail!

Can anyone help?

The syncing has now started ... slowly it seems, with some irregularities ... but I suppose this is only to be expected with two unlike structures attempting to match fields.

Incidentally, the link you showed me was what I had already done.
