o
As far as I remember in Activesync OPTIONS (where 2 different PC’s had been originally set up .) (Before I bought Mark/space to sync the PDA with my Mac. ) I deselected CONTACTS, CALENDAR, and TASKS in both. (However in STATUS both of them were only sync’d over a year ago.)
o Also in connect by Bluetooth: new partnership: I OKd : ( PowerBook G4 17” ) the MAC
o The Bluetooth works fine.
o I did go back after the PDA failed to sync with the Mac as it had, and reselected the CONTACTS, CALENDAR, and TASKS in both. However nothing changed when I tried to sync again .
o I had made changes because the PDA was very sluggish, while showing plenty of memory space, both internal and also on the CF card ( which has got a Data Backup on it BUT which continually fails to be recognized. I have tried running the PDA with the CF out. I also now use the switcher bar to ensure programs are being closed. Through this I noticed that Activesync seems to be switching itself on.
o Further to this I descovered that a selection of word files had been altered in some way. They had the windows symbol instead of the Word symbol. I deleted these , however, there are 7 data files in FILE EXPLORER with the windows symbol. When trying to open them, the message: There is no application associated with eg “mxip_system”. Run the application first, then open this file from within the application.
o Cemail: mxip_initdb:mxip_lang: mxip_notify: mxip_system: pim: WMPInfo.xml
o Within My Documents R129272Dell driver update.EXE. On the Dell site it says that this is a System Update for Windows Mobile version 5.0. This file seems to be in the wrong place, and when I try to open it it says, “Program from unknown publisher running can possibly harm the device. Do you want to continue ?
o I also tried to cut so I could move it, but it would not let me. Could this update file, or the others I v listed above be the problem ?
o Thanks for your help
