System Crash/Cursor Disappearing

I have been experiencing a random crash of sorts.
My cursor simply disappears in the middle of working and I can then do nothing. The system seems to still be operational because iTunes keeps streaming in the background. I can't however perform a force-quit. It is as if the entire USB chain has locked up and I can't do anything. I have tried unplugging and replugging all USB devices. I even tried unplugging the network in hopes that I would force a server disconnect and perhaps be able to to get back into the system, nothing.
The problem always seems to occur while I am running Photoshop and I believe only with iTunes playing in the background (I also run classic apps and safari and mail). I worked all day yesterday without a problem, but today I was in the middle of working on 4 images in PS and it crashed. I'm beginning to wonder if it is being caused by my Wacom Tablet Driver which I will try to reinstall. I could try working without it for a while, but since the problem only occurs every few days or even weeks, I don't think I can live without using it. I hate the mouse.
My system is a dual 800 G4 with 1.5gigs of ram running 10.2.6.
Please help.

More Info on this problem. I have reinstalled the Wacom Driver. Backdated it to the previous version which still works with the Intuos II tablets. Doesn't seem to be related. Today I was copying a file to a server when it froze. The scrolling progress bar continued to scroll, but the progress wasn't moving. I finally hit "stop" and after a few seconds the cursor disappeared and the scrolling progress bar froze and again, force quit wouldn't do anything. This is frustrating. I am going to try to work without the servers connected to see if this is related. I have had other troubles with these servers disconnecting. I'll keep you posted. If anything else has ideas, I would love to hear them.

I also have been having problems in Photoshop and iTunes with cursor disappearing.

Since last week when I loaded Limewire and started listening to mp3's with iTunes, I've been having some annoying problems with system OSx. So far system 9 hasn't shown any problems when I switch to it but only system 10.

Some problems I've noticed have been: 1- jumpy, unsmooth dragging of windows or objects. 2- not able to paste from clipboard (I can copy but nothing appears when pasting). 3- not able to drag and drop between applications anymore. 4- not able to drag and drop between menu windows within application (example... normally within art program, I can grab color from pallate and pull it over to where it needs to go... not anymore!!) 5- not able to see image when I drag it... and then it doesn't appear correctly where it should go. 6- other clipboard-related problems.

Can anyone tell me what's happened? Everything was operating so smoothly up until last week, now things seem so sluggish. I'm using programs in "classic" mode just to avoid these problems.

Help!!

Thankyou,
Artistic

Are your problems with OSX Native apps or Classic apps running in Classic? If they are classic apps, there are all sorts of video driver issues with classic compatability. Photoshop 6 running in classic is horrible when it comes to redraws and moving objects. Drag and drop is problematic when going between any clasic app and an OSX app. Even drag and drop between classic apps is touch and go. I have taken down 2 server connections that were suspect and have been sharing out my machine to be able to access it from the other end. I will see if this takes care of it. So far 2 days without a problem, but it is very sporatic.

Seems that at this point all my problems are happening within OSx apps. I copied the text from this forum, but when I tried to paste it, there was nothing in the clipboard.... and this is only within the OSx apps.
