System crash initiated by NFS access

Hello,

I have a tricky problem. I use a Linux PC (red hat linux) and a powerbook G4 with OS X 10.4. I connect the powerbook by LAN with the PC and mount the powerbook filesystem on the Linux PC using NFS. Actually this is working well. And in the beginning I had no problems. But since some weeks I have the following problem. On weekend I don't connect the Powerbook on the Linux PC. After few days of "abstinence" the Powerbook crashes totally when the Linux PC access again the mounted Powerbook filesystem by the first time. Totally means that the kernel of the OS X crashes. There are no entries in the log files! I have a photograph of the screen of the powerbook:

What could be the reason? Perhaps I should mention that I mount the filesystem with a fstab entry and the mount command. But I do not unmount the filesystem of the Powerbook when I take the Powerbook away, because this was never a problem. The crash also occurs when I unmount the Powerbook's filesystem before.

Thank you very much!
