T-Mobile GPRS Powerbook

I will be going on the road for weeks at a time very soon.
I have a phone with the T-Mobile Network.
My question is, should I buy a new phone that supports blue tooth and use it for internet, or buy the T-Mobile PCMCIA card (Does anyone know if this card is compatable with MACOSX?)
 
Why not go UMTS? Such cards mostly support both: GPRS and UMTS and they are supposed to be macosx compatible. At least I know of vodafone pcmcia cards to be mac compatible.
But maybe the cheapest way would be a bluetooth cell that is sharing the internetconnection to the powerbook. Also take a look at the gprs-package prices. ;)
You should avoid high transfers if your company or boss is not paying for it.
 
I've got a bluetooth phone and I have used the GPRS with T-Mobile. The speed varied based on how good my signal strength was. You will have to upgrade your plan to unlimited data, $20/mo. Another option would be to signup for T-Mobile hotspots if you're travels will keep you close to Starbucks and Kinkos. After having both and testing them both, my father quit the GPRS plan in favor of using the Hotspots.
