Terminal.app closing weirdness

Anyone else find this? I'm not sure what the factors are, but sometimes when I hit ^D to close a terminal window, it will not close. I actually have to physically close the window. I noticed that when this does happen, the CPU usage is all the way up. I'm not sure if it would close after a while, since I'm not that patient.

Anyone know why this happens?

Thanks.

I haven't noticed that, but I have another Terminal.app closing issue:

I've configured my terminals to close when I type "exit" at the command line and hit <Return>. About 90% of the time when I exit the shell, the window closes. BUT, the other 10% of the time, the shell ends but the window stays on screen.

Talk about weird. Perhaps Terminal.app needs some rewriting in that department.

its 2 more keystrokes, and in the terminal everyone knows short keystrokes is the way to go.... on occasion i have seen similar problems, but after a bit it exits it like normal. if yall have a similar problem to mine, it always seems to stick after i have run something in the background....you know with a '&' and the end of the command... thats the only time it gives me errors.
