Terminal-boom boom

terminal got boomed.......i simply cant type anythin on it......wen i open it all i get is this..:

i can run commands only under fil-?new command.... options

In Terminal's "Preferences," under "Startup," what is "Shells open with" set to?

(i run terminal on tiger 10.4.11)-under my terminal preferences all i have is this:

When creating a new terminal window:
Execute the default login shell using /usr/bin/login [checked]

execute the commmand (specify the complete path) [unchecked]
