terminal build into desktop

Hi everyone.

I'm using Os X 10.4 and I always wanted to have terminal application build into desktop so I could use it without opening terminal. To get general idea of how it should look like click here:

I'd like my terminal app to look like the info app from this linux on left bottom corner (yea I know this isn't terminal). Does anyone heard about such application that brings terminal into desktop? I'm not interested in setting transparency on terminal window. Thanks in advance.
 
You can install one of the unix window managers (such as Fluxbox, Gnome, KDE, Enlightenment, etc) by using Fink, and from there you can run xterm, gterm, kterm or various implementations of term or console that let you set a transparency. It is neither easy nor straightforward, but I have done this in the past and the visual result can be truly awesome.
