I'm having some problems with using ssh in the terminal. I'm behind a proxy and I need to connect through that to get ssh working. I set the proxy setting in the system preferences but by the looks of it, ssh doesn't read those.
I know it's not a proxy problem, as I use the proxy settings fine is safari, I downloaded putty and it ran fine through crossover.
I'm new to mac, this is actually my first mac, so be easy on me
I used to have to set some env variables in my fedora core 6 build. In /etc/profile.d/proxy.sh and /etc/profile.d/proxy.csh
But I couldn't find the directories in my mac build, so I don't want to add em, incase things die on me. As I said, not very used to mac
The proxy uses this pattern: user
ass@domain.com
hanks for the help
