I'm looking for a text editing environment similar to that of KDevelop from Ubuntu or KWrite or anything of the like. I just switched to Mac from my old Dell laptop running Ubuntu. Any ideas? Thanks!
Or TextMate is pretty poplar, and a fair bit cheaper than BBedit (though I got it as part of a package deal for less than a single license costs bizarrely).
If you need an IDE then OS X comes with one for free called Xcode. You install it of the disks that come with the machine normally.
