tftp: failed entries in Console, what do they mean?

I've noticed that every time I shutdown my mac the Console system log will have entries like so:

what's with all these tftp failed lines about? I have file sharing disabled so I don't see why tftp would be running? I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.8 with all the latest updates, firewall on, no services except network time on...mac mini 1.66ghz intel core duo with 2gb ram

another varient of the tftp: failed error is...

Jan 23 15:44:05 macminis-computer kernel[0]: (63: coreservicesd)tfp: failed on 0:
Jan 23 15:44:05 macminis-computer kernel[0]: (63: coreservicesd)tfp: failed on 0:
Jan 23 15:44:05 macminis-computer kernel[0]: (63: coreservicesd)tfp: failed on 0:

and I find it interesting that first it mentioned ps and now coreservicesd...why would these programs be trying to use tftp? What the heck is going on here?

P.S. I included some line(s) from Parallels because maybe these tftp entries are caused by a change Parallels made for its vm networking setup? I also notice that SystemStarter is being invoked and trying to run things marked for startup right after the shutting down entry....what's with that?

I looked this up a while ago (couple of several months ago) and it did not seem to be terribly important.
It seems like it was a minor service that didn't impact security or normal operation (to the best of my recollection... )

Googled "OS X coreservicesd)tfp: failed" or something like that.
So I just ignore 'em now.

Please let me know if you know/findout otherwise.

P.S. This was before Parallels on my machine.

Thanks for your reply :) ...I had asked this question at another mac forum as well and I got this reply which seems to explain everything perfectly :) ...

tfp stands for the system call "task from pid." In mach terms, this takes the BSD-style process ID and returns the corresponding mach task.

In the Intel versions of the OS X mach kernel, this is now a privileged operation. Older code trying to use this syscall will fail, and some log an error.

If it bothers you -- and it is completely harmless -- either just ignore it or file a bug at bugreport.apple.com.
