The Gigantic icon!

I seem to be running into realy strange things... here is a screenshot of one of my icon swollen to what appear to be a 300x300 size among otherwise normal icons...
I tried moving the file in other folders, changing the sizes of icons in the folder and so on.... didnt do a thing, the file insist on being displayed at this incredible size... well, I have a backup, I'll just trash it. Here is a ss to show you what I mean.

Yeah, heard about the hack, but never used it.... the bug is genuine, as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe I should install the hack to fix it next time I have it?
