Hello. I'll start off by saying that RIAA(Recording Industry Accociation of America) is thinking the right way about file sharing. They feel it is hurting the record industry and yes, I too agree, because of Kazaa and other P2P network clients, the record lables bleed. I am the type of person that buys every bit of music I listen to. I download nothing, no software, nothing. Because I don't steal. Now I can see the reason people do download, cause heck, IT'S FREE! Everyone want's free stuff. You could say I'm ANTI-P2P. But the threat that the RIAA poses is something even I would never say. They are currently trying to pass a law in the United States and soon to Canada that anyone caught download music(even one song) will be charged a quarter million dollar fine. Yes that's right! $250 000. Plus a 10 year prison sentance. As Patrick Norton off of The Screen Savers(TECHTV) said, you get more time and fine for downloading a song now a days than you do for armed robbery. Now that's sad. Even worse, they are going through your ISP's and digging up personal information just to bust you. Now that is dumb. And the threat they pose is a joke now. The RIAA is stupid. And I think they should find a better way to deal with things. But look, why would I say that, I thought I'm ANTI-P2P. Well I guess that shows how dumb it really is. What do you think?
