They are at it again

While Second Life does not install QuickTime, it invites users to install the player if they want to see multimedia files within Second Life.

That bit suggests that they're talking about the Windows version.

Ironic that a column titled "Defense in Depth" offers virtually no details.
 
While I don't think that Mac OS X is immune to vulnerabilities (Apple usually takes an eternity to patch anything, and that's regarding the ones we know about), it's pretty bad that the author didn't specify which versions of QuickTime were being used. Wasn't Shmoocon sometime late last year anyways? Pretty old for a blog post that was entered today. Then again, with C|Net anything is possible. :rolleyes:
