Hi guys,

Im new to this board and was wondering if you could help me with a problem.

Im running MAC OSX version 10.2.8 -

Safari, Illustrator 10, Eudora, Explorer and System Update constantly crash and come up with the message "application has unexpectadely quit".

The crash log is as follows:

I read somewhere that it may be a corrupt font on my system - but ive checked and everything seems fine.

Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, muller.
The first thing I would do - without understanding anything from the crash-log file - is to repair the disk permissions. Boot into your jaguar cd/dvd and open Disk Utility. Repeat this process as long as no error is reported. If that didn't fix your problem setup a new user account. Log into that account and try if your apps work fine now.

Do you have accessibility turned on to speak all items on screen? If you do you might want to try turning that off to see if that helps. I'm just guessing, looking at the crash log.
 
you know what? All this started happening a few weeks ago when I turned speech on...Ill give it a try to see if it works.

Weird, how that would affect everything though!
