"Windows includes a feature that you can use to cause the system to stop responding"

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303969
"Any member that has more than 1,000 children is too much for a human to comprehend. Most OLAP practitioners agree, for usability reasons, that you do not want more than 1,000-3,000 children per parent. Some client tools handle this scenario more gracefully than others."

lightened my day. windows is the best thing to happen, i now firmly believe

at least, of course from an outside perspective....

There's only one good thing about windows and microsoft, they allow us to have these hundreds of sites mocking them and making fun of them :p.

Haha: Manually cause the system to stop responding....

*Person reading article*
"Well, I kind of feel like making my computer stop responding at the moment."
*computer freezes*
"Oh well I guess i'll have to unplug it and try again...."

These kinds of things lighten my day a lot.:)

1. It's old but funny
2. will there ever be a version of windows that won't suck on one level or another?

D'oh.. I have forgotten ho I got to this error message - but I did once.

:p I wonder what would happen if every windows PC in the world shutdown?. This was funny, I have a friend that has a Mac (PowerMac G4 Sawtooth) and today we were joking around like "Couldnt you imagine microsoft making an air conditioner? It would blow fire."

What could you imagine microsoft making?

I also thought a microsoft circuit breaker box. It would have a screen, keyboard and mouse, and when a circuit shorted it would say on the screen:

"It appears that there is a short on circuit #4, do you want to trip the breaker?"
Yes - No - Cancel"

And when you press Yes it crashes with a BSOD :p.

ksv, lol :p

^^ Thats the kind of error message that actually helps. Peecee users probably wouldn't even know what to do with the number, because windows error messages never have numbers :p.

it would have been nce though to sort of find out what may have been a cause of it... other than:

it's crashed.

so there. if you are a computer genius, here is a number you can look up.
