It has come to my attention that the "rating" mechanism is being ignored by the vast majority of the people here. That's fine. I've been ignoring it till now. But it's there, and the people who use it seem to be using it either as a joke or as a means to falsely inflate their credibility.
So I want to start properly rating threads to overcome this falsified rating system. But then I thought - perhaps the rating isn't a good thing and I'm just reading it backwards. Is the rating in fact a "suck rating?" That would explain a lot.
Just wondering if I should start rating things properly, or if this is an inside joke that I'm just starting to be on the inside of?
I think the rating system could be removed entirely and the return of screen space would be welcome. Anyone else feel similarly?
