Tiger and Mail

I have recently upgraded to Tiger and all is almost well. When I updated from Panther to Tiger I followed the network setup assistant until I realised I could not remember my ISP's phone number so I cancelled halfway through the setup process. Since then I have not been able to log into my email account because it won't accept the password that Mail sends it. I have been to my webmail site for this account and my old password works fine. I have deleted the account and re-entered it into Mail and I have deleted the keychain for the account all to no avail. Any ideas?

It could be a number of problems. A lot of ISPs will return a "invalid password" error, even if that isn't the actual problem. They typically say it's a security thing, i say it's a laziness thing. I'd contact your ISP and get a complete list of settings... Particularly what sort of authentication you actually need.
