Tiger Authentication and separate VLAN...

Does anyone know if there is a problem authenticating (specifically the Home folder) across VLAN's? We are having trouble with workstations running Panther. They are able to log in but, can't find their Home folder (in the usual place). We have 32 login at once and they are 500 MHz iBooks but, I have not run into this before on workstations that are on the same VLAN.

Well, if the home folders are discovered by Rendezvous (what are we supposed to call it these days?) then they won't discover the share - Rendezvous uses broadcasts to the local network only; it doesn't cross a router.
