Tiger & Isight

I was using iSight on a 2 MB DSL router connection via a G5 as was the other party (using an ADSL at 512 k). Since the other party installed Tiger (I am already using it) we cannot get connected any more. We each get messages about a time-out being exceeded. The cameras work fine locally but don't seem able to connect. They worked fine when the other party was running Panther. We have no difficulty using Skype however. Is the other party's modem being too slow the problem? Help. And thanks.

Check firewall settings. There are ports that need to be open in OS X and on any router that you have....otherwise you wont be able to connect. If those are open then its something else. Check the requirements for Tiger / iChat Video Conf for connection speeds minimums.
