Tiger Question about OS9

I have a Powerbook G4 1 Gig 768 memory... and of course the 40 gig hard drive it came with and Dvd/RW drive...

My question is 2 fold...

1. If I decide to buy Tiger... will OS 9 still be emulated if I should need it upon a fresh install with Tiger?

2. Usually I prefer to set up an OS clean... and than load old applications like Iworks 05 etc... Which is not much and Office 04.

I'd greatly appreciate some input thanks .
 
Yes it will, but if you wipe your drive, you'll have to install OS 9 again.
 
Ok because the Only form of OS 9 i have came on the disks for the LAPtops Restore... Option..
 
If you do a clean install of Tiger and must reinstall OS 9, do you have to install OS 9 first and then all the upgrades before installing Tiger? I did check out the article suggested, but didn't feel it answered this question. Thanks for the help.
 
  1. After OS X is installed
  2. Start up from the OS 9 CD, and open the Installer.
  3. Click the Options button in the Installer to access the clean installation option.
  4. Select the checkbox for clean installation.
  5. Install the software.
