I recently tried to get a Time Capsule (combination wireless router and big disk drive) to work with my Siemens ADSL modem. After much turning devices off and back on, quitting Airport Utility and re-starting it the Apple tech finally gave up and said I needed to get the modem firmware updated. I returned the TC for credit, but I still would like to use something like it as a wireless router, backup solution. Is the tech correct? If I update the modem firmware how sure can I be that something else won't break? How confident are you that I can connect wired (CAT-5) PCs to the Airport Express part of the TC?
