Time Capsule

Hi all,

I have a wireless DSL at my house, but unfortunately the single which is provided form my router is weak and it doesn’t cover some of the rooms in my house.

I’m planning to buy the Time Capsule for backing my files up, sharing and printing wirelessly.

My question is: Will the Time Capsule help increasing the signal of my wireless DSL at my house???

Also, is it compatible with all the routers or it only works with some????
Thanks, Jack.

Are you daisy chaining the router and timecapsule or are you replacing your router with the timecapsule.

If you are daisy chaining I would split them up and put one on each side you house but then you would have two SSID's.

But I would run the TC solo and see what pans out.

Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear.

Actually i have a wireless DSL at home, but my router's signal is weak, it doesn't cover my entire house, so i need to change my router to a better one or get a signal enhancer.

Now, I'm also planing to buy the Time Capsule so i could use its all functions.

All i want to know, will the Time Capsule enhance the signal from my router or do i have to buy a separate signal enhancer???

Thanks, Jack.

Time Capsule can be used to extend your network, which is exactly what you want. It then acts as a repeater and the whole wireless network becomes larger. Is your current router in a central position of the apartment? Either way, put the Time Capsule closer to where you're not getting enouth signal (but not "there" exactly, because else the TC has nothing to extend...).
