Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to alter the written OS X permissions (10.5.6) to allow time machine.app to run and be authenticated by a network user?
I have tried to accomplish this in serveral different ways already, however, I have not found success.
Here is the scenario:
My company is an Apple vendor and we support CPU on Tier 1 and I need all of my agents to have access to the Time Machine so they can walk customers over the phone through the procedure of setting up and making backups. The problem is that they are network users. I am not able to give them all admin privledges (which of course is the easy way to solve the problem) I'd like to just change permissions so that they can authenticate (using their own network login and password) and go about their work. I have an AD/OD integrated network and I am using Workgroup Manager to it's fullest (I think) ability.
PLEASE HELP ME!! LOL Actually any ideas that could point me in the right direction would be helpful too. Thanks in advance!
