I was looking for a good newsreader for OS X, and all the (dozen or so) GUI ones totally suck (i'm used to Forte' Agent on the PC).
Anyway, I thought I'd try an old tried and true standby, namely TIN. Compiling went fine (after a few test runs to get the right configure options nailed down) and I can read messages, and email them.. however posting is an issue. For some reason, TIN insists on using my Rendevous name (xxxxxxx.local) instead of my internet domain.
Has anyone been able to find a work around for this problem? The only config option I can find even close is for setting your email address, which I had to set because it kept trying to use a xxx.local domain as well.
