Dear Apple (or anyone else),
First, I love my macs and have owned 10. I will continue to be a Mac user as long as you keep up the good work.
However, I am really tired of feeling left out. I'm not talking about software, I'm talking about media on the web. There is a long list of web media and web based shopping sites I cannot fully access on my Macs, but can on my PC. Whether it is highlight video clips on nhl.com or various zoom and 360 images of the B&W speakers I am considering purchasing or the Salamader Designs home theater rack furntiture configurator I would like to use, my Mac never seems to run what my PC can.
Of course, IE is often the culprit and it is true that Safari does in many cases work better, but I want it all and I want it now on the two default/included browsers of my Mac. Maybe it is the developers of these sites and there is often some little bit of code they need to use to give me full acess, but I don't care. We live in a web based world (or at least I do) and I would expect my $2500 G4 to be able to handle anything the web has to offer right out of the box. It doesn't while $700 PCs can. From a pure consumer perspective - the only one you should care about, this is not right.
Though I am not the most savvy computer user, I am sure I am up in the top 20 if not 10% of Mac users. I don't want to futz with my browser settings simply to do what PC users can do without even breaking a sweat, and I would bet other Mac users are even less inclinded to do so.
Please make it work. If it is someone elses fault, find a fix for their fault.
Thank you
