To upgrade, or not to upgrade... to panther

I have just recently accumulated the funds to purchase panther, among other things, and i just want to here what people not on the "payroll" have to say about it. How much better is panther? and are there any querks with it?
 
I don't think so, it seems to be a bit faster over all, and I really like the new features. Only thing I've noticed (and can remember at the moment) is that the Connect To Server dialog no longer actively searches for servers.
 
I say you wait till WWDC and see the demo for 10.4 "tiger" and see if they release a date for 10.4 to be released, but it depends on what OS you are curretly running if it 10.2(.8) wait and see if it 10.1(.5) then you could probably buy panther right now but you wight endup kicking your self after WWDC but if you'r running 10.x or OS 9 or below I would upgrade now and you will see a big diference!
 
I would think Tiger won't be released until at least a year after Panther. Lots of irate people unless serious upgrade discounts are given.
