Toast with DVD RW not burning

Hi There,

Can anyone please assist with any info regarding this. I have had no success using dvd rw in my IMAC superdrive.. and i have been told that it does use dvd rw..


is there a trick??

is there a certain method with TOAST?

does it require a certain brand??

I've used Toast with DVD-RW with no problems. I would suggest that you do a complete erase on a disk before using. I'm trying to figure out how to convert my quicktime files to dvd format so I can burn them to a disk. Any suggestions?
 
If the Superdrive supports DVD-RW, it must be a recently-added feature. The superdrive in my G4 has NEVER supported DVD-RW.

Profiler calls it a Pioneer DVR-103 Revision 1.90
 
I know it does support it.. i checked and it does say dvd-rw.. but it spits out the mdedia with an error and nothing is burnt..

i can burn fine with dvd-r cdr cdrw... but this particular dvdrw brand it does not..

what brand od DVD -RW are you using that is working??
