Today...something happened to my prefs panel

Today, for no reason that i can decifer, my 'Accounts' icon in system preferences disappeared. This sucks cause I am an admin user on this machine and I need that icon.

Futher, I now have 3 keyboard icons in the system prefs. What gives? Is there a preferences file that I can trash that would correct this? I need to be able to add accounts and have full functionality of my own machine.

Any help would be great!

It's a cache file that you need to trash:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache
Delete it and all should return to normal.

Thank you...I will try this when I go home for lunch. I appreciate the effort.

One more thing...other than restore the prefs panel, will this do anything else that I should be aware and go fix afterword?

No, the only effect this will have is to restore the correct display of your preference panels.
