Transferring Email: Outlook Express to Mail

I would like to transfer all my messages from my old computer,
an iMac, to my new computer. On the old computer I used Outlook Express. On my new computer, I am using the Mail program that comes with Tiger. After several attempts, I can not successfully transfer my messages, and the folders they are organized into. Any ideas???
 
Hi there --I'm having the same problema nd the migration assistant willnot work. Just to recap.

I was using outlook express on my old imac running os9.2. I now have a imac G5 running 10.4.6 and I'm using the "Mail". Any attemps to transfer my emails or import them have failed. Mail on my new machine will not recognize my identities mail folder from old computer. I have posted this before but none of the suggestions have work. Is it a bust?
