I just realized that my new iPhone 4 will not activate on a mac without a minimum OS of 10.5.8. My primary mac is older with 10.4.11. Fortunately for me I also have an intel macbook (2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo) with 10.5.8 that I can begin to use as my primary, as far as iTunes is concerned. My question is this: I need to move my current iTunes (9.2.1) to an external drive, and then reference the external drive for use on my macbook's iTunes. I've found several articles about how to move media from one drive to another but haven't found anything that specifically discusses my need. Any ideas? I do realize that doing it this way will force me to connect the external drive to the laptop when I need to access iTunes...
