I have an old tray-loading mac G3 (the first one) that i use for college work. I use it every day for at least 4 hours, so it's really a work horse.
It works like a charm and i love it, but when i got back from vacation today, I noticed something strange. I always un-plug all electronic stuff when i leave my house for longer then a week. When i plugged my Mac back in into the wall power, i started to hear a high-pitched noise. I heard it before and always thought it was the CRT tube making noises while cooling down but this thing has been off for 3 weeks. The noise persists untill i unplug it again.
What could this be? It bothers me because it shouldn't make noises when it's turned off.
