Trouble connecting to a website

I'm having trouble connecting to a website with a URL that ends as follows:
.ca/pts/

I'm assuming it's a powerpoint presentation of sorts. My default browser is Safari and it won't open in that. I downloaded Netscape and then Internet Explorer and neither browser can open the site. My associates who operate on a PC platform have no trouble opening it in IE. I'm stumped. Can anyone please help?

powerpoint files should be .ppt or .pps and no idea what pts stand for..

Still you could try camino and firefox or give the full url as well as details on your mac and OS to help you further
 
.ca ... sounds like the web site is in Canada

/pts/ ... probably is just a folder that is in the web site.

I don't suppose we could know the site, for troubleshooting purposes?
