Thanks in advance for any help-
So my basic problem is I am trying to hook up my g4 powerbook to a g5 powermac without having to use up an ethernet or firewire cable. The g5 does not have airport/bluetooth, so thats out. I need to be able to access files that are on the g5 from the g4. Both computers are connected to the internet via a d-link router/cable modem.
I have tried several different approaches, and am able to see the hard drive of the g5 in my network folder (under finder), but unable to access any files. I can see how big the drive is and the name, and can eject it, but when I try to open it (and vise versa when the g5 tries to access the g4) i receive an error message.
Any suggestions?
