hiya. i have a new g4 laptop

and i've been having troubles with my AirPort
Sometimes, while i'm browsing, etc, the computer suddenly slows down a lot and then i realize i'm not (and can't) get a signal anymore. i walk over to my old computer, and i'm fine -- it gets online in seconds -- so its not the wi-fi's fault.
when i walk back to my new g4 and restart-- no problem. it finds the signal again and we're off and running.
but having to quit everything and restart, is, obviously, a pain.
anyone heard of this before? is there a way to give the airport a kick in the pants without restarting? i tried turning it on and off, but that did nothing. same with opening the internet connect panel.
