TurboTax, TaxCut and OSX

It's that time of year again and I need to do my taxes. This will be the first year that I will be doing them on a Mac.

Are TurboTax and TaxCut native OSX applications? On their respective websites, both apps have MacOS9/10.2 as requirements. I don't know if this indicates that there are separate versions for each OS or if they use classic mode under OSX. I have no desire to install classic support for OSX to complete my taxes.

TurboTax is native and works very well. I've been using it for years, since it was MacInTax.

But remember to check that they actually file the stupid return after they takes your money. They "lost" mine last year and I had a rude wake-up when my taxes were 11 months late. That said I filed through the web site and they did give me a free copy of Turbo Tax for windows for the previous year ...yippee...

Nope I am not bitter. Too bitter that is. Saddest thing was that Intuit was much worse to deal with than the IRS.

Nope I am not bitter...

Did I mention that I am not bitter... much...

I've never had problems with TurboTax or TaxCut filing my return. I've been using TaxCut on the PC for the last 3-4 years though. I wish I knew if TaxCut was written for OSX. I guess it's TurboTax for me this year.

I really hate it when I search on a web page and don't find an answer, and someone else searches the same website and does find the answer. :)

I thought I read a review about the 2001 edition of TaxCut that stated it wasn't OSX native. I obviously confused the two products.
