Turn my Cube into a TIVO like device.

I would like to turn my G4 cube into a TIVO like device that hooks up to my tv.

I was looking at the Formac studio TVR as it seems to have most of the features that I want.

I also want a remote control. I need to be able to pause live tv, automatically record shows, and possibly burn them to disc (dvd either through my external firewire burner or on my powerbook 12 superdrive)

I will be using my tv as the monitor primarily and would like this to be as transparent as possible to people watching tv.

Should I try to use the cube for this or should I use an ati all in wonder 8500 and a 1.2 ghz athlon mb I have to make this happen.

Or, should I just buy a TIVO and be done with it?

I tried the All-in-wonder 8500 dv and the results were mixed. A lot of the time the voices owuld not keep up with the characters on screen. D@%n XP!

Anyway, I got the Tivo yesterday and I love it! It is the best thing to happen to tv in a long time!
