two subs: one shelf

I have a sub for one of my computers...and my i'm getting an iSub any day now...
Well i have two computers on my desk, and ideally i would put the to subs right next to each other on a shelf near the floor.
just wondering if it would be okay to do this.
thanks

Old rule of thumb would be better bass closer to the floor. The loacation shouldn't matter, low bass is omni-directional. 2 magnetic devices next to each other, try it out. Just don't stack any old floppies anywhere close!

The further away the sub is from you the better bass you are going to have. It takes a bass wave like 50 feet to fully mature, and that has the best sound. If you can you'd probably want to put it in the corner or on the floor or something, but it shouldn't really matter if the subs are next to each other.

One question that has not yet been asked... Are the two subs going to be playing the same signal? Dependant upon what the specs of the two subs are you could notice a degredation in sound quality.
