I just had an interesting GUI idea. Perhaps it is already implemented somehow.
Often I am looking at a web page and want to copy a bit of it. Due to various reasons, using the mouse often doesn't work. So what I do now is go to the search box, type what I need, the select all and cut. It would be better if I could type a keyboard short cut, have a small text box pop up that I can type into, and then hit return (or whatever) and it would disappear. At that point, what I typed would be in the paste buffer so I could go somewhere and paste it in.
Has anyone seen this or perhaps can anyone accomplish the same task already with existing tools?
