Typing in Chinese (ping-ying)

Hello all, I was wondering on Mac OSX if it is possible to type in chinese or use "ping-ying" to create chinese characters?

Yes. Just go to Apple Menu --> System Preferences --> International. On the "Input Menu" tab select whichever Chinese input methods you want to use. These should now appear as options on a menu at the top of the screen, allowing you to quickly switch to the input method you want.
