typing problems

When I am typing in two programs supported by classic (Outlook Express email and MacMoney), I have a recurrent problem with letters, numbers and spaces repeating themselves.

I have used MacJanitor, disk utility and Applejack to try and correct this problem, but to no avail.

I am currently using OS 10.4.11

Is the problem only happening in those two programs?
Are you using those two programs in 10.4 or in classic mode?
What kind of keyboard do you have? (built-in, external, wireless etc)
Does it happen on those two programs all the time?

Both programs run in Classic mode.
Problem occurs only in those two programs, but
particularly in MacMoney, which only runs in Classic
mode, and is unfortunately no longer supported.

I am using an eMac, with an external keyboard.
It does not seem to happen on my other computer, an imac.
