Typing Wrong Characters

Hello all,

I have a G5 dual 1.8, running OS 10.3.9

A few days ago I noticed that my keyboard is often typing the wrong characters. They all seem to be symbols.

For example
When I type a period, a comma appears on screen.
When I type an asterisk, a left sided parentheses appears.
When I type a right bracket, I get a plus sign.
When I type a question mark, I get an underscore symbol.

All my letter characters seem to work fine. I have swapped out keyboards and they both get the same results. It happens in all applications, so I assumed it was some quirky OS glitch.

I have zapped PRAM. Any suggestions_

Never mind. Discovered that the keyboard was somehow set for English AND Spanish input. Don't know how that happened -- it's been normal for 18 months.

Anyway -- solved the problem.
