Hey guys and gals. i have a Umax powerlook 1100 firewire. And am running G4 1.25 with OSX 10.2.8 and OS9.
The scanner works fine in OS9, but I can't get it to work properly in OSX.
i have installed the current umax driver for OSX, but it only works like once when first installed. Afterword I either get a message that the bus is busy (scanner busy). Or it asks me for my password, and asks me to fix and use, which does nothing. Is this a umax problem or a OSX issue?
I have tried the 'plug and unplug the firewire' advise, but it doesn't seem to help.
I am an illustrator, and would like to bu using the Potoshop CS I bought for OSX, but wind up in OS9 in Photoshop 5.5. cause I have to use the scanner so much.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
