Unable to even launch terminal

I hope this is right forum for commandline stuff.
I have upgraded to 10.2 and recently I upgraded to 10.2.5; after a few weeks I have lost the ability to launch Terminal. The symptom was a superimposed ? over the icon I copied to the Dock.
I looked in the application/utilities and the terminal app has disappeared.

I guess the app is in /bin, but I have no way of knowing how to invoke it from the aqua interface, re-install it, or even transfer it from my other mac which is fine.

All very wierd ! , and any suggestions would be welcome

Terminal is located in /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app, and should be visible in the Applications -> Utilities folder. Is it there at least?

By the way, just in case you don't have terminal.app, here it is:

(I hope to God that I didn't accidentally include my preferences, I assume those are all stored in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist)

Yes the terminal.app had disappeared , and your file worked a treat.

Now I can try and install mysql ....

MySQL instalation is easy, follow www.entropy.ch intructions.
And there is a script for managing it.

you can find it in www.hotscripts.com
