Unable to start Personal Web Sharing

I have previously used my quad G-5 for Personal Web Sharing. My friend now tells me she is unable to connect to my computer. On investigation I find that somehow the check box next to "Personal Web Sharing" in System Preferences is unchecked. When I try to start web sharing by clicking the "Start" button, the button grays out and above it is the message, "Web Sharing starting up...". But after 15 minutes nothing happens. The entry I get in console.log is "
Processing config directory: /private/etc/httpd/users/*.conf
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd started".

I have no idea what the problem might be or how to go about fixing it. Any help would be appreciated. The only other information that might be helpful is that I have recently been experimenting with Quicktime Broadcaster and Wirecast. Could this cause problems with opening the proper ports in System Preferences?
Thanks.
John

I'm no expert but that line "/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd started" from your log says that apache, thats your webserver, has started.
