I loaded a blank dvd and attempted to burn with toast titanium 7. The burn was stuck half way and when I clicked abort, nothing happened. I can't eject the cd, its not mounted and I can't kill the toast titanium process. I do force quit and nothing. Not even as root:

ps aux | grep -i toast | grep -v grep
wnowak1 1140 0.0 -0.0 0 0 ?? E 10:05PM 0:00.00 (Toast Titanium)
g5mac: 11:16:50 (/Volumes) root /Volumes # kill -9 1140
g5mac: 11:16:59 (/Volumes) root /Volumes # ps aux | grep -i toast | grep -v grep
wnowak1 1140 0.0 -0.0 0 0 ?? E 10:05PM 0:00.00 (Toast Titanium)

10.4.3
Dual 2 GHz . 2 gb ram.

I can solve this problem by rebooting, but I want to avoid this because I have apps running that I don't wish to quit out of.

There has to be a way.
