Hi, im still getting used to my new macbook pro, and mac os x for that matter, i have installed both microsoft messenger and firefox, though when either are executed, these type of ejectable disk icons pop up on my desktop and in my finder, named either Microsoft Messenger of Firefox. I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen, because my school computers don't do the same thing. I think i installed it wrong, is there any way that i could fix this problem. I would uninstall it and install it again, though i don't know how to uninstall. Please help, Thanks

PS: i've installed other programs though none have had this problem.

Assuming you dragged the icons, from the disk image window, of the respective applications, to a location on your hard disk drive - you can drag the 'Desktop' disk images to the trash can. Each dragged icon will disappear.

If you, by chance, launch (open, run) an application from the 'Desktop' disk image - the disk image will not disappear - if dragged to the trash can, and an alert box stating ...

'The disk " ... " is in use and could not be ejected.

Try quitting applications and try again.'

... will appear. If so, quit the application and follow the instructions of the first paragraph.
