uninstall the public beta release

I installed the OS X public beta release on my 8500/G3 250 upgrade. Though Apple does not support for this model, but it runs OK anyway except that there is no sound.

However, it is running very slow. I'd like to uninstall it and return to the OS 9 state. Is there anyway other than re-format the drive to remove the OS X public beta?

couldnt you just throw it all to the trash from os 9? You can get rid of all the crap it does to your harddrive with Norton Utilities after u emptied your trash. I did that before installing OS X 10.0.
