I was having issues with my external drive and decided to run Disk Warrior. When I tried to run the app a message came up saying I should get info on the Disk warriror disk it'self and check off the ignore privilages feature in order to run the disk..
I did so, ran the app, and was able to restore the problem with my external drive.
I then went to click a folder on my desktop and it disapeared. As did another. I then tried to create a folder and it said I do not have enough privelages.
Now all of my folders from the desktop are gone.
I tried accessing my desktop from users>username>desktop and it said I do not have sufficient access privilages.
What's going on here?

Now sure, but. Check to see if your Hard drive ownership & permissions have been changed. Where it is says "you can" you should see "read & write." Use the info view. Moreover, when you open your HD finder window, in the lower left corner is there a icon with a pencil and line through it. This means that it is not readable, and you have to change the ownership, allowing you to write to the drive.
